Review
Christmas time in Singapore is especially pretty. The entire stretch of Orchard Road, from the start continuing to Bras Basah Road and onto Marina Bay, is decorated and lighted up. The decorations put up by shopping malls add to the colour and glitter. There is a feeling of joy and cheer as you walk down Orchard Road.
This year, our visit to Orchard Road began with a visit to Tanglin Mall (located at the start of Orchard Road), which is a must for parents with young children. Both our youngest and our young-at-heart enjoyed the "snow" - soap suds sprayed up in the air. After cleaning up, we strolled down Orchard Road to enjoy the rest of the sights and sounds.
From 19 to 25 December, Celebrate Christmas in Singapore will feature Floats Parade and nightly performances of mimes, choirs, carolling, international cultural shows, etc. You can also find out more about the story of Christmas at the Christmas Village at Plaza Singapura. Finally on Christmas Day, part of Orchard Road (in front of Tangs) will be closed to traffic for the Grand Concert.

Be prepared for queues and slow traffic - take the opportunity to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the beautiful lights all around.
