Review
Tanjong Beach has the least organised activities going on and hence, makes it an ideal place for those who wish to go to the seaside to unwind, swim, read or sun-tan. The wide expanse of pristine white sand allows for families with young children to enjoy a range of beach activities such as building sand castles, playing frisbees, etc.
Take a walk towards the breakwater and stop there to enjoy the sea breeze, the swaying trees and the ships going by.  A popular spot for fishing, you may want to try your angling skills here. You'll need your own gear though. Look beyond the ships and you'll see the smaller islands of Singapore including the deserted island of the Sisters Island.
For those who prefer to lay back with a drink and listen to music, the one and only beach bar on Tanjong Beach is the ideal place to be. The beach bar, complete with an outdoor jacuzzi, also serves an all-day menu.

Tips
There is an outdoor shower, as well as a container-type toilet and shower available. So be prepared for the basic facilities.

As the sun can get scorching hot and the number of shelters are limited, do seek shade under the trees that are a little further inland.

If you have time, explore the other beaches on Sentosa - they are quite different.

Things to Bring
Drinking water as the only place that sells drinks is the beach bar. Beach items such as sun-block lotion or sun-tan oil, umbrella in case of rain or hot sun, mat to lay out on the beach, etc.

Opening Times
Opening times: Anytime.

Best time to go: Early morning or late afternoon when it is cooler.  The beach bar is open from 11am to late evening.

Admission Fees
Other than the Sentosa Island admission, it's free!
