Summary
Love bazaars and street markets? Singapore has a few regular bazaars as well as festivity-related ones. You'll be able to find novelties, trinklets, second-hand goods, snacks and even antiques at these street markets.
The better known ones are held weekly, usually on Sundays, whilst the festivity-related ones are held during festive seasons such as Chinese New Year (in Chinatown), Hari Raya (in Kampong Glam) and Deepavali (in Little India). There are others which are held monthly with a lesser variety of items sold and the roaming ones which are often found in residential precincts and more popular with the locals.
Whichever type of bazaar or street market you find, they are certainly worth a visit to catch a glimpse of local trends and delights.
